About Us

The United Congress Party, often abbreviated as UCP, is a political party in Sri Lanka. The UCP is considered a center-right party, advocating for a neo-liberal market-oriented economy. The UCP is a member of the International Democrat Union.

The strength of the United Congress Party revitalized the national political movement and aimed to build a stronger, safer, and better Sri Lanka. Today, the party has flourished and upheld its strong grassroots foundations while staying true to the core principles of the movement.

The United Congress Party continuously strives to uphold sovereignty, a robust national defense, national unity, free enterprise, and individual achievement, empowering all citizens, regardless of background, to realize their dreams in a safe, healthy, and prosperous country.
